Maria Cottage in Howarth was an absolute gem of a find during my recent trip. Situated conveniently on the main street, close to all the amenities, it offered the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. the cottage was impeccably clean with two cozy bedrooms sporting the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. the highlight for me was the powerful shower that never failed to provide plenty of hot water. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Not only did he provide us with additional essentials, but also surprised us with a bottle of bubbly and a box of chocolates - a gesture that truly made our stay special. the fact that we had control over the heating, with both central heating and a faux coal fire, added a nice touch to our experience. If I were to nitpick, I would say that the operating instructions for the fire could have been clearer, but that was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise perfect stay. Overall, Maria Cottage exceeded all my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming retreat in Howarth.
